Are You Too Sexy for Leather?

The Votes Are in ...

It was a close race, but the people have spoken, and they're hot for pleather!

More than 6,000 of you voted at PETA's Web site CowsAreCool.com and were torn between two lovely latex ladies, so we crowned both Kimberly Dooly, of Townsend, Delaware and Heidi Patterson, of Denmark, cruelty-free queens in PETA's second annual "I'm Too Sexy for Leather!" contest. For their wins, each vinyl-clad vixen will strut away with a new ensemble from Lip Service.

PETA received skintillating entries from coast to coast, but it was 23-year-old Kimberly Dooly, a former member of the U.S. Coast Guard, who caught everyone's eye. Making the move from defending her country to defending animals, Kimberly, a vegan ever since reading Gail A. Eisnitz's powerful book Slaughterhouse, has returned to school where she is studying criminal justice in hopes of becoming an animal rights lawyer.

Everybunny also loved our second winner, 43-year-old Heidi Patterson, aka Fuzzy Bunny. Ms. Bunny began her vegetarian journey at a young age with a plush cow named Clarabelle. When she played house with her dolls, Fuzzy Bunny made sure that Clarabelle was at the table, not on the table. Fuzzy Bunny learned early that eating meat and wearing skins is definitely not fashionable, that's why she's designing her own latex fashion line!

All of our enticing entrants listed a variety of reasons for going skin-free—including saving the lives of animals and loving the hot, cruelty-free look of pleather. These days, it's never been easier to go faux—click here to check out PETA's "Shopping Guide to Compassionate Clothing."

We want to thank everyone who entered our contest! Remember, you're all winners because you save animals every time you look drop-dead gorgeous in a pleather outfit that didn't cost an animal an arm, a leg, or a life.
